All living beings that emerge in this vast world function based on the five elements—water, earth, fire, air, and space. Every living creature operates through the active manifestations of these five elements. It is through the principle of these five elements that humans possess the faculty of the ‘sixth sense’—the ability to think and reason.

In today’s world, human beings are essentially nothing but the five elements; yet, driven by the notion that everything in this world belongs to them, each individual goes about their life.

What, after all, are the deeds he is meant to perform for this world?

We must share in the suffering of every human being and act to alleviate it by placing ourselves in their position; we certainly should not cause suffering amidst the happiness of others.

A human being born into this world should come with the noble intention of performing some good deed.

Yet, every human being in this world inevitably causes some form of harm to other living beings. In doing so, they act based on considerations of caste, religion, and race. All these actions are driven by self-interest rather than the well-being of others. We must strive to cast aside the cloaks of caste and religion that reside within everyone and allow humanity to blossom.

“When examined closely, there are but two castes—nothing else—regarding the path of conduct that never deviates from justice.”

The ancient adage implies that a *Dharumi* (a generous giver) is never a *Karumi* (a miser), and a *Karumi* is never a *Dharumi*. In other words, those who possess a spirit of generosity—helping others without regard for self-interest—are considered noble, whereas those who possess wealth but lack the willingness to share it are deemed petty or miserly. It firmly asserts that these two categories constitute the only true distinction regarding character.

However, today’s society comprises many castes and religions. We must always uphold the principle that “there is but one race and one God”—affirming the oneness of the Divine and the unity of humanity.

Humans—who are themselves manifestations of the five elements—persistently act in this world with the intent of obstructing the beneficial functioning of the five elemental forces (water, earth, fire, air, and space) through their own harmful deeds.

Man—a being composed of the five elements—roams the world today acting as an axe that fells other living creatures. He embodies a confluence of negative traits: falsehood (deceiving and swindling others), envy (resenting the success of others, disregarding their well-being, and refusing to help them), theft (stealing or misappropriating others’ possessions), and arrogance (lacking self-control, refusing to submit to anyone, rationalizing one’s own misdeeds, and harboring the delusion that the world belongs solely to oneself.

Does this bring benefit to the living beings in this world?

Who are they to arrogate these powers to themselves and torment the living beings of this world?

All these phenomena arise from the actions of man—himself a manifestation of the five elements. Through these actions, the Divine Creator (Nature)—also embodying the five elements—alters its inherent, peaceful state. The element of Water unleashes cataclysmic waves (tsunamis), massive floods, and incessant rains that perpetually batter life on Earth. The element of Earth reacts to the turmoil caused by the usurpation of others’ possessions by triggering earthquakes that swallow up what was wrongfully seized. Meanwhile, regarding the element of Air, man—the “fifth element” in today’s civilized world—pollutes the atmosphere by introducing toxins, thereby hindering the very conditions necessary for life to thrive, even as he strives to fulfill his own desire to exist.

he element of Space (the Divine)—fully aware of how the element of Fire acts as a scorching radiance (atomic radiation) to incinerate all life on Earth and disrupt the functions of other earthly elements—finds itself unable to halt these actions; instead, it withdraws to an unreachable height, looking down upon our deeds with mocking derision.

Yes! For what purpose were human beings—composed of the five elements—created?

If we act with the aim of preventing the disruption of the natural functioning of the five elements—by rooting out the evil tendencies within us and establishing thoughts of righteousness in this world—then the Divine, manifesting as the five elements, will remain eternally unchanging and abide in a state of serene tranquility.

O human being in this world! Let us recognize that the one who strives to uphold the spirit of righteousness—cherishing the welfare of others with the noble conviction that the five elements are one, sharing one’s abundance with the needy, and doing good to all living beings—is the one whom everyone will follow; let us, therefore, continue to uphold this spirit of righteousness for as long as the world exists.

Come, noble souls born here!
Let us set this world right!
Let us strive for the well-being of all living beings!
Let us act with the noble conviction
that all life is one!
By doing good deeds in this world forever,
let us live eternally in the hearts of others.

With everyone in this world uniting and extending thoughts of righteousness for the welfare of the globe—and with a noble purpose, seeking the grace of the Almighty (manifest as the five elements) for the world’s salvation—let us all lend our support to the benevolent ideal: “May this world also experience the bliss that we have attained.”
